This is a place to slow down and reconnect with nature — where the rhythm of the bush replaces the noise of everyday life, and each stay feels personal, peaceful, and unhurried.
Wildlife at Your Doorstep
Free-roaming zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala, bushbuck, duiker, and warthog are commonly seen in the area, offering unforgettable up-close encounters right outside your door.
Guests often enjoy visits from monkeys and bush babies, along with a rich variety of birdlife, including sunbirds and colourful turacos. With approximately 350 bird species recorded in the area, Marloth Bush Retreat is a true haven for bird lovers.
The iconic call of the African fish eagle adds a distinctive soundtrack to the experience, bringing a sense of calm to life in the bush.
On the Edge of Kruger National Park
Marloth Bush Retreat is located in Marloth Park on the southern border of the Kruger National Park.
Marloth Park offers easy access to both Crocodile Bridge and Malelane gates into the park.
The area allows guests freedom to walk, cycle and explore amidst wildlife.
Most days elephants can be seen feeding along the Crocodile River, with lion and leopard occasionally spotted in the area.
Accommodation at Marloth Bush Retreat
The thatched guest house accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 double bedrooms, offering a comfortable and relaxed bushveld stay. Three of the bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, while the fourth bedroom has a private bathroom located just adjacent to it. Linen and bath towels are provided for guests, although swimming towels should be brought along. Ceiling fans are installed throughout the house to ensure comfort in warmer weather, and two of the bedrooms also offer pre-paid air-conditioning.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave oven, fridge-freezer, and all essential amenities needed for a self-catering stay, while the lounge area includes DSTV. For added peace of mind, the property offers 24-hour security and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Very peaceful and private. You get lost in nature. It is a very nice place that is well equipped. Very clean and tidy. Ideal for large families. Animals roam freely around the house. Upon request, the owner served us a delicious meal on the front porch that was out of the books. Will recommend everyone to visit the place. One of the best.

Unforgettable. We spent the week at Marloth Bush Retreat and asked if we could check in early as we are about 900 meters from them and had to check out at 10h00. The place was ready, neat and clean. The house had all the necessary things that one needs to have a good time. The pool was spotless, and the garden looked wonderful. We had an incredible number of animals that came to visit us, day and night. I would recommend people who would like to have a peaceful, very luxurious holiday/weekend to contact them. He is also a cook, and makes his own pizzas from his home, right next to the holiday home. I will definitely visit them again. Thank you very much for the kindness and assistance right through our stay.

Very calm. We were kindly received by Mornè. Everything was clean and tidy. Many animals came to visit, including warthogs, kudus, bushbucks, blue wildebeest, etc. We rested wonderfully for the few days and had a great time staying at Marloth Bush Retreat. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality. It was so fun! The time just passed too quickly.
