Free-roaming zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, impala, bushbuck, duiker, and warthog are commonly seen in the area. Guests often enjoy close encounters with bush babies, while the surrounding bushveld supports a rich variety of birdlife.

With approximately 350 bird species recorded, Marloth Bush Retreat is a bird-watcher’s paradise. The call of the African fish eagle is a daily reminder of the wild environment that surrounds the property.
